Very nice, spacious, clean, and music at the right level. Food was tasty and presented nicely. Waiter was very professional. The only reason "service" got a 4s (star) is because of where we were seated. There were many other places to be seated for more privacy and personal space, however the hostess didn't ask if this particular table was ok with us. I'm not being petty, but with the spacial options available, we were placed at a table top right next to a family of 3. So close that the child had to put his hand on our table to get out of his area to use the restroom. Eww. Others were seated with a buffer between other diners. I understand that later in the evening wanting to keep everyone seated together and closer to the kitchen, but our proximity to the trio of diners did not allow for enough personal space for either party to feel comfortable. I noticed the energy and attitude of the trio decline as they saw us being seated so close to them. I didn't feel like debating for a different table after having a pretty lousy afternoon just to possibly be told no. Again, food was great. Non alcoholic margaritas were served in a regular stand up soda glass which I though was a good idea for two reasons. One being avoidable mixups with drink placement, also I thought it was a good idea in the event someone was newly sober, this limits and possibility of the standard margarita glass as a possible memory trigger. Meal for 2 was between a and . 2 entres and 2 non alcohol frozen margaritas (basically a smoothie)

Food was on point. I work in customer service so did feel our waiter “distracted” but besides that very courteous. Had the amazing honey chipotle salmon.

Went in after a long day and received the best service and excellent meal. Special thank you to Kyle. There was no short stepping on the food quality, atmosphere and hospitable service. We'll be back! Chips and salsa was the icing on the cake.

We stopped in for lunch after our flight into town. I’ve never been to an Uncle Julio’s but I’m glad we tried it. We were seated promptly and our server was great. I had the combination dinner and my mom had the grilled chicken bowl. Both dishes were very good. I can’t wait to go back and try the fajitas and Rita’s.

Uncle Julio's is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. It was the first restaurant I tried in Chicago, and I've been back at least 3-4 times since. For a Saturday date night, we decided to return and found the place packed with about an hour-long wait. Fortunately, my husband’s gold membership allowed us to shorten our wait time, and we quickly got seats at the bar for drinks. Both drinks were delicious and refreshing, and we enjoyed chips and salsa while waiting. Once seated, our server Jeremy greeted us promptly and brought another basket of chips and salsa. He was very knowledgeable about the menu, answering our questions about different dishes and the fresh fruit of the day. He also brought us a spicy salsa that had a nice aftertaste rather than being outright hot. Our food arrived quickly and was, as always, delicious. We even got a small side of hot sauce for our fajitas, which added a great kick. As vegetarians, we appreciated that they offered cilantro rice and black beans with the vegetarian fajitas instead of the usual Spanish rice and pinto beans. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back, both by ourselves and with friends!

I wa extremely impressed by Kyle one of the managers who sat my husband and I. We were sat Ina very reasonable amount of time and acknowledged with a warm greeting while I observed him seating several a large parties. He did this with ease and I observed how he managed each group made each group feel supported and sat quickly. I have seen this as rare in other restaurants. This atmosphere was welcoming and the good was fresh and satisfying. Ramon out server who we have had previously made our drinks perfectly and as always makes excellent food recommendations and makes your dinning experience one that is to be enjoyed.
